Bass player Andy Peterson made his debut in the professional music scene in 1976 in his home city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he gigged in clubs and pubs for two years before moving to Germany in 1978. While in Germany, he gigged in and around the club circuit there and also in Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Yugoslavia.
Andy came back to Malaysia in the mid 80s and started sessions work and recording for local artists. He then proceeded to play for international stars in Hong Kong and Taiwan which required him to join worldwide tours. He has graced famed venues such as Caesar’s Palace, Dolby Theatre Hollywood, The Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena in London to name just a few. Andy also played in Japan, Australia, Canada, Las Vegas, San Jose, Atlantic City, San Francisco, New York and almost all of China. He has played with music greats such as Billy Cobham, Steve Thornton and Randy Bernsen (Zawinal Syndicate), David Foster, Boys 2 Men, Natalie Cole, Peter Cetera, Chaka Khan, Mel C (Spice Girls), Richard Marx, Brian McKnight amongst many others.
He was an endorsee for Yamaha Music and also performed demos for a China guitar company at the Shanghai Music Fair for 3 years. This year Andy goes on a five city tour in the US, performs on China’s biggest Song Competition alongside another David Foster Asia Tour. Andy also proudly endorses GK Amplifiers.
