Jolynn J Chin
Born in Sarawak, Malaysia, Jolynn started her musical journey at the age of 5 and at the age of 14, fully completed her graded exams (ABRSM) with distinction. Few months later, she then passed her piano ATCL Recital Diploma Exam.

Soon after, she came under the tutelage of the Malaysian-renowned pianist Dr Nicholas Ong, the first Malaysian to receive a doctorate in piano performance at the prestigious Juilliard School in USA, where she continued further training under his coaching up till today. Jolynn has also studied under many concert pianists such as Andrew Brownell, champion of the 2005 J.N. Hummel Competition, and Li Ming Qiang, winner of the 4th Chopin International Competition 1960.

Jolynn was offered a place to study at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore, in which she went to do her Diploma in Music Performance Course for one year. Jolynn has also taken part in various competitions worldwide. She was the second runner-up in the Young Person’s Piano Competition 2014 Open category, held at the Dewan Besar Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang and was awarded Gold Prize for the 2016 Asia International Piano Academy Festivaland Competition held in Seoul, South Korea.

Jolynn has recently released her first single, TOCCATA, out on major stores such as iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Pandora and etc in which was produced by music producer Roger Montegano, member of the Grammy Recording Academy, New York as well as mastered by Howie Weinberg, award-winning mastering engineer for celebrity bands such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana.

Jolynn was also a music producer and soundtrack composer for the short film ‘Goodbye’ by The Scope Kuching, as well as the thriller film ‘Echoes of Mind’ by Upper Cut Productions Singapore, which was nominated for Best Original Music in SCAPE's National Youth Film Award. Jolynn has formed numerous collaborations with international musicians. She also premiered Singaporean composer, Daniel Yap’s set of compositions entitled Transfiguration, which featured soprano Angela Cortez and violinist Ryan Yee, and has produced several original arrangements and music videos with Singaporean violinist Cheryl Ho. Jolynn will also be showcasing Russian pianist and composer, Vladimir Titov’s works, in which its video is scheduled to be released in late 2017.

Having known for her performances in the classical, contemporary and jazz fusion genre internationally, Jolynn currently continues to showcase her best, worldwide.
